BPA San Diego was founded in 2013 by Erik Castro and Jose Balderas. BPA expanded to San Diego in 2015, when it merged with 5 Tool Athletics, where its exceptional professional team and facility offers the same core BPA teaching and training foundation. In 2016, MIT Baseball Club merged with BPA San Diego, establishing BPA as Southern California’s premier baseball organization. BPA’s core focus remains on developing each player to their highest potential.

BPA’s mission is to encourage boys and girls throughout our community to play baseball and softball at the highest level. We will be able to achieve this by delivering the highest value to our players, coaching staff, and community as the premier baseball and softball organization in San Diego. We will continue to shape and lead the markets in which BPA chooses to compete.

BPA Baseball Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

The BPA Way

What is the BPA Way? It’s a proven model developed by our founders for use by players, parents and coaches. The goal is to teach sports skills, but more importantly, life skills to young ballplayers.
